They share a bond like that of mother and daughters.
Since their very initial days of dating, Emma and the three Willis daughters have been comfortable with each other.
During a sit down with PEOPLE, the 28-year-old singer credited her father’s taste in music to rubbing off on her throughout the years: “His music taste is just all over the place, but when I was growing up, it was so much jazz and cool R&B and blues and all of this different stuff.” Willis, who took home the Mirror Ball trophy on the season 20 finale, assured that both of her A-list parents have never pushed her or her two sisters — Tallulah and Scout — into the limelight.
“Just to really be yourself; to always remember that when you’re in front of an audience, or anywhere, if you’re in the public eye, you have to represent yourself in a way that is what you would want to present to the world,” Willis said of what she learned from Moore.
Willis also remarked that as she has grown up and reflected on her own life, she has come to realize that her parents are real people — not just “superhero parents” — who accomplished their dreams in front of a global audience.
A word to the wise: If you’ve recently suffered a tough breakup, or are generally sullen or cynical regarding matters of the heart, avoid spending time in the company of newlyweds Bruce and Emma Willis.
“We’re sickening,” Bruce says, shaking his head in mock disgust. I know there’s some rule that you’re not supposed to be doing—what is it? ”“PDA,” says 32-year-old Emma, née Heming, helpfully supplying her 54-year-old husband with the slang term he’s searching for.“Right, PDAs,” Bruce says, oblivious to the fact that by making the acronym plural he sounds more like he’s talking about Palm Pilots.
